The perfect garlic mozzarella bread

Preparation:

1. Whisk egg. Melt butter. Heat milk to lukewarm in a saucepan. Then add flour, dry yeast, sugar, egg, butter, milk and salt to a large mixing bowl.

2. First knead all the ingredients with the dough hook of the hand mixer, then with your hands to form a smooth, very soft yeast dough.

3. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and then let it rise for 1 hour until the mass has at least doubled in volume.

4. Cut mozzarella into strips. Now knead the dough again with a little flour and shape it into a ball. Preheat the oven (210 °C top and bottom heat).

5. Place the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper and, using a little oil on your hands, shape it into a round flat cake with a diameter of approx. 25 cm.

6. Use your fingers to make 4 circular indentations of different sizes in the dough. Fill the hollows all around with the mozzarella strips, then the chopped garlic.

7. To season the party bread, sprinkle it evenly with ground pepper, herbs and chili flakes. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
